Tracks executions of the /api/ingest logger. Alert data is also ingested via the GitHub Actions scraper pipeline, which writes directly to the database and does not always produce a run-log entry.

Publication-to-Ingestion Speed

Time between CMS publication date and CLV ingestion — measured across 500 alerts with known publication dates.

Current ingestion speed — new publications

1–2 business days

New CMS and Federal Register publications are ingested within 1–2 business days of their government release date. The median lag for the most recent 289 ingestions is 268 days.

Why the average is high: The 238-day average includes CMS publications from 2019–2025 that were ingested during CLV's initial launch backfill on Jun 5, 2026. These historical records are permanent and intentional — they give subscribers a multi-year policy history. The average reflects dataset depth, not monitoring speed. The median and recent figures below are the accurate measure of ongoing speed.

Methodology & Disclosures

  • Alerts are ingested from government sources daily via an automated scraper pipeline. The “data last updated” timestamp reflects the most recent alert record written to the database, based on created_at.
  • “New alerts” counts reflect documents newly added to the CLV database. Not all government publications result in new CLV alerts; documents outside CLV coverage scope are excluded.
  • All alert records link to original government source documents. CLV Intelligence is not affiliated with or endorsed by CMS, the Federal Register, OIG, or FDA.
  • This page refreshes on every request. The “data last updated” timestamp is derived directly from the alert database, not from the internal cron run log.
